It started in 2013 with co-founders Ali Cross and SR Johannes keen to create a conference that challenged the stigma of self publishing.<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>Fast forward to 2015, with the success and reputation of author-publishing on the rise, IndieReCon has joined with the Alliance of Independent Authors to take the conference to the next level.<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>IndieReCon is still an online conference offering the best advice and education for independent-minded authors across the world \u2014 but now offering expanded programming and global reach, though ALLi\u2019s networks. And exciting live events, from Utah to London. Including this year, hooking up with The London Book Fair, to provide an exciting day of live-streamed events, live from London.<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>Our goal has always been to \u201cmake indie publishing a mission possible\u201d for any writer, across the world. That continues. And we are still (and always will be) run by authors and for authors, so it\u2019s all free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our posts, talks and online seminars cover all stages of the publishing process:<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>&#8211; Author Education: How to Write and Publish Well<\/p><p>&#8211; Author Empowerment: Finding Your Best Pathways to Publication<\/p><p>&#8211; Reaching Readers: Understanding and Serving Your Readers<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>Online seminars, workshops, discussions and masterclasses will feature around the clock throughout The London Book Fair on 15th and 16th of April and culminate in a reader-centred Indie Author Fringe Festival, broadcast live from The London Book Fair\u2019s Book and Screen Week. The Fringe Fest will offer exciting ways for readers to meet indie authors and discover great reads and, in line with ALLi\u2019s mission to be a global organisation for authors everywhere, the event will be live-streamed, so authors and readers who can\u2019t be in London can take part online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2>IndieReCon Founders &amp; Organizers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00a0With IndieReCon\u2019s success in reaching over 25,000 people in the past, we are thrilled to partner with ALLI in 2015. Johannes<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 [object NamedNodeMap]>S. R. JOHANNES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">S.R. Johannes is the author of Amazon bestselling Nature of Grace series (a teen wilderness thriller, Untraceable and Uncontrollable) and a tween paranormal, On The Bright Side.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><br><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">S.R. Johannes was recently nominated in the YA category as Georgia Author of the Year. She is also the 2012 winner of the IndieReader Discovery Awards for young adult and a finalist in The Kindle Book Review\u2019s Best Indie Book (YA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 [object NamedNodeMap]>ALI CROSS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ali Cross grew up watching Bruce Lee movies and dreamed of being a kick-butt martial artist like Cynthia Rothrock. Well, she never became the kind of ninja she envisioned, but she does hold a black belt in awesome. She lives in Utah with her kickin\u2019 husband, two sparring sons, one ninja cat, one sumo dog and four zen turtles. And a cache of nunchucks, staffs, kamas and other dangerous ninja-weapons.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><br><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ali is the author of angsty young adult fantasies and moonlights as Alex Banks where she writes wild middle grade adventures. She is also the founder of Novel Ninjutsu, a popular book packaging and branding company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p [object NamedNodeMap]><em>\u00a0IndieReCon was born out of a desire to help authors navigate the tricky, shark-infested waters of indie publishing. ALLi had been our partner from the very beginning, so joining with them seemed like a natural evolution for IndieReCon. Under ALLi\u2019s wing, IndieReCon can reach more authors than ever before, encouraging excellence and fostering success in self-publishing. ALLi is a nonprofit organisation, bringing together the world\u2019s best indie authors, advisors and services, offering contacts and campaigns, education and collaboration \u2014 together with trusted guidance on how to self-publish well.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 [object NamedNodeMap]>MIRAL SATTAR<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p [object NamedNodeMap]>Miral Sattar is CEO of Bibliocrunch, a platform that matches authors with trusted, prescreened book publishing professionals. Miral loves books and loves helping authors fulfill their publishing dream. Her company Bibliocrunch has helped numerous authors hit the Amazon best-seller list. Miral just published her free ebook, A Self-Publishing Guide for NaNoWriMo Writers (http:\/\/nano.bibliocrunch.com). She and her writing have both been featured in numerous media outlets including BusinessWeek, BBC, TIME, Forbes, Money Magazine, Consumer Reports, PBS, and other media publications. She has a MS in Publishing (NYU) and a BS in Computer Engineering (Columbia). Miral describes herself as 1\/3 engineer. 1\/3 entrepreneur. 1\/3 writer. This was followed by appearances in the UK magazine Vertex.
